After death of Gabriel García Márquez earlier editions of his books gained importance.
At Bogota International Book Fair which was in the capital city of Colombia, one of the earliest editions of One Hundred Years of Solitude was stolen.
Printed in 1967, the book was on display in a locked cupboard.
It was worth nearly 60000 dollars.
Owner of the book Alvaro Castillo said that he collects rare books and makes trade of them. He bought the novel in 2006 at a bibliopole in Uruguay.
